You can also keep canned food, or mini first aid kit and toilet papers in you emergency survival cabinet. It is easy to build emergency survival cabinet kit so you can stock up your food and essential things that you may require in it. Emergency cabinet can fit more things than a backpack.

Your backpack should be strong, waterproof, and easy to transport wherever you go. You also make certain that every item in your survival kit is sealed in an airtight plastic bag. This is done to reduce the possibility of anything becoming wet or contaminated. In an emergency, the last thing you want is soggy food or wet medicine.

Make sure to maintain your kit and check on its contents at regular intervals. keep it easily accessible, in a cool dry place to ensure your canned food and other supplies are in optimal condition. when checking your kit you always make sure to replace expired items.

In an emergency it would be a real bummer to need pain killers and come to realize that they expired and aren’t effective anymore. There are items that every survival kit must include. At your house you keep the survival kit in an easily accessible location and make sure everyone in the family knows where it is.

What do you need in an emergency survival kit?


These items are not necessarily in any particular order of importance, but I will say that if you do not have the first three, you will be in a world of hurt. First and foremost, a first-aid kit is required.

The Red Cross recommends at least one gallon of water per person per day and a 72-hour supply if you are bugging out and evacuating, but a two-week supply of food and water is recommended if you are sheltering in place.

Make sure you have water purification tablets on hand as well. If your water supply runs out, you must ensure that any water you find can be cleaned so you don’t get sick.

Take stock of your food. You have enough food for three days, but in an emergency, that could last much longer. Food does not take up as much space as water. You already know you’ll need a radio to keep up with news and the weather. Many people bring a standard battery-powered radio, but you’ve chosen a hand-cranked NOAA weather radio with tone alert.

Flashlight

It is a good idea to keep a flashlight on hand at all times. Not only can it help you find things at night when there is no electricity, but it can also be used for self-defense. A Mag-lite or flashlight, for example, can stand on its own and provide area lighting to an entire room.

I understand that if a natural disaster strikes an area, some cell phone towers will be out, especially in the path of destruction, but in the surrounding collateral area, which is heavily impacted, they will lose power and have difficulty, but they may still have cellular capability. so you can charge your phone when your outlets aren’t working, a power bank will come in handy.

Extra Batteries

Make sure you have extra batteries for your flash light or anything else that cannot be recharged, as batteries will come in handy in that case.

lets talk about sanitary and personal hygiene items. If you go camping and have a long weekend, the first thing you want to do when you get home is take a shower. However, if your shower is not working, you will need items to clean yourself such as baby wipes, deodorants, perfumes, or sanitizer so you can stay fresh.

Staying clean and maintaining personal hygiene can be the difference
between getting sick or staying fit. Cleaning your hands, disposing of trash
and pest control are integral components of staying healthy.

You can also have a whistle it can be used as and attention or warning or for rescue personnel. and in another pocket where you have stored your sanitation and personal hygiene items. you have moist towelettes for your washroom and cleaning needs. also pack a roll of garbage bags, which can be used for disposal of used materials, or cut in ways that allow you to see the durable plastic in unconventional ways. each item in your survival kit has multiple functions.

This a includes items such as  passport and also family emergency contact information as well maps of the area. you can keep it in a folder or files which can protect it. keep a one copy of each of your document.

Make sure your passport, birth certificate, and driver’s license are all copied and ready to go. The survival kit is returned to its safe storage location, and you consider the other necessities that you require. Your prescribed medication and dietary requirements are taken into account. Cash

You take a deep breath and let it out slowly. You feel more relaxed knowing that our survival kit is in order.

If something extreme occurs, you know that everything you need to survive is in a safe, easily accessible location, and if you remain quarantined in your home, everything you need is in your survival kit. The first step toward survival is knowing that you will have everything you need in an emergency. Being prepared is the best way to survive!
